WPF.com Mission Statement - Why we do what we do and what we hope to achieve

VISITOR'S/USER'S AGREEMENT
Please read this Visitor/User Agreement before using our forums and participating in our interactive activities; by using our services, you agree to these terms.

If you disagree with any material you find on our site, please respond in an appropriate manner by bring to our attention any material you believe to be inaccurate or objectionable.

This is an agreement entered into by you, the User (henceforth referred to simply as "you"), and the Wild Poetry Forum (henceforth called "WPF ® " or "WPF" interchangeably).
MESSAGE BOARDS
Because WPF ® and its administrators believe in everyone's right to free speech, we welcome and encourage everyone and anyone to actively participate in our online activities. However, we cannot guarantee the appropriateness of every posting made on the message boards and other public posting areas. We do not endorse nor guarantee the accuracy of any posting, regardless of whether the posting comes from a user or from a celebrity or "expert" guest. We cannot recommend enough the need to make your own judgments concerning what you read, whether it be online or anywhere else. As a result, we encourage you to consider what you see with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Responsibility for what is posted on the message boards and other public posting areas on WPF ® lies with each user -- you alone are responsible for material you post. You agree not to post or transmit any defamatory, abusive, obscene, threatening or illegal material, or any other material that infringes on the rights of other users. We retain the right to deny access to anyone who we believe has violated these terms, our guidelines, or any other term of this agreement. WPF ® reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deny or terminate your access to this website and its related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.

We reserve the right (but assume no obligation) to delete or remove any postings that come to our attention that we consider unacceptable or inappropriate, whether for legal or other reasons. WPF ® is under no obligation to post or use any material you may provide and may remove any material at any time at our sole discretion.

Views expressed here by other users are not necessarily those of WPF ® , its administrators or moderators.

We will not, in the ordinary course of business, review private electronic messages that are not addressed to WPF ® . However, we will comply with the requirements of the law regarding disclosure of such messages to others, including law enforcement agencies.

We expect that you will not use the service to violate anyone's rights in copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property. By posting material on WPF ® , you are representing that you are the owner of the material, or are making the post with the explicit consent of the owner. Posting material that is the property of another without the specific consent of its owner, is not only a violation of this agreement, but may also subject you to legal liability for infringement of copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
NETIQUETTE
Normal rules of courtesy apply here at all times. No flaming of any kind will be tolerated. Expect to be reprimanded (via admin/moderator comment in a thread or e-mail) if you cannot respect this rule. Infractions can and will result in suspension of membership. If the flame was directed at you, and you decide to e-mail the individual, you do so at your own risk.
COPYRIGHTS AND TRADEMARKS
By posting material on WPF ® you are granting WPF ® all non-exclusive display rights to the material, including the right to display said material on our website, modify the material (read: to quote a section, etc.), to use it commercially (read: for the purposes of advertisement; however, if we were to use said work commercially for promotion/advertising, the author would be contacted first to secure his/her written permission), and to maintain the material in an archive. In other words, by posting here you are authorizing Wild Poetry Forum® to display your work(s) publicly. You are assigning us only the right to display said work, but WPF ® is NOT to be considered a First American Serial Rights publisher of said work. All authors retain copyright to their own material. We may remove content at any time at our sole discretion.

Although we make WPF ® freely accessible, we don't intend to give up our rights, or anyone else's rights, to the materials appearing on the service. You are free to display and print for your personal, non-commercial use information you receive through WPF ® . You are free to encourage others to access the information themselves on WPF ® and to tell them how to find it. Requests for permission to reproduce or distribute materials found on WPF ® for commercial purposes should be sent to the administrators.

You are welcome to link back to our site. To this end, we provide several buttons and banners that you are free to download to your own server to link back to us; or you can simply use a basic text link to this site so long as the link does not state or imply any sponsorship of your site by WPF ® .

HOWEVER, please if your site is set up in frames, make sure your link to WPF ® breaks OUT of that frame. WPF ® must NOT appear to be an integral part of your site without written authorization. This authorization MAY be given for certain very specific purposes, following terms that will be discussed and decided according to each individual case. Except with such a permission, NO PORTION OF WPF ® CAN BE INCORPORATED INTO ANOTHER WEBSITE OR OTHER SERVICE THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
  • ANOTHER WEBSITE
  • CD-ROM,
  • CLASS OR WORK-RELATED PRESENTATIONS.
REQUESTS FOR PERMISSION TO USE OUR CONTENT (IN WHICHEVER MANNER YOU NEED) MAY BE SENT TO THE Administrators AT adminwpf@wildpoetryforum.com
