Leaf Under Attack from Organic Activity

The bacteria and protist activity in the biofilm have modified the cellular structure in the leaf. The natural cell structure is hardly visible now because the organic activity has destroyed the cell walls or deeply modified them. To be honest I can't tell how much of this distortion is simply optical--but I did dry the structure before observing it.
