This culture has been owned by bacteria from the start. I was not happy with that. I am accustomed to establishing protozoa colonies. I have no idea why the protozoans and micro-animals have refused to appear. But the bacteria are monopolizing the biome in such numbers that it is hard to ignore them. Many bacteria mass together and become inactive. Others continue to move through the medium. These pictures were taken using the two most powerful objectives and carefully adjusting the light.
